Every year some of the best music broadcasters in Australia get together in Adelaide’s beautiful Botanic Park to present a live program across the Community and Indigenous radio networks. More than 100 stations across the country tune in to the sounds of the Womadelaide festival of world music and dance. You can see what’s on this year at http://www.womadelaide.com.au/ComRadWomad will keep you up to date in the leadup to the Festival, and during the weekend will bring you all the sights and sounds, including our interviews and samples of concert sets. Community and Indigenous radio stations are welcome to use the audio on their stations with attribution (everyone else – you are welcome to listen but not to re-use). But the real excitement is in listening to the live show. To find out if your local Community or Indigenous radio station is broadcasting, give them a call.. They can bring the program to you if they subscribe to the Community Radio Network satellite or the CAAMA satellite network (see SATELLITE SERVICES at left). If your local station wants any further info, ask them to contact Radio Adelaide at radio@adelaide.edu.au or 08 8303 5000. Ask for Kat McGuffie or Deborah Welch.
